ORGANIZATIONS: Burse Club |
|

The Diocesan Burse is a fund established to provide the finances to educate students for priesthood. One requirement of the Church for priesthood candidates is a college education and four or five years of graduate studies. Tuition is about $15,000 a year. At the current time our candidates are funded by about $70,000 earned interest on the Burse Club account and about $50,000 from the annual Catholic Charities Appeal to assist seminarians. Burse Club principal is not used.
Burse Club membership is open to anyone. You can enroll yourself, a spouse, a parent or friend. Dues are $1 a month, paid monthly, quarterly or annually, using the Burse Club envelope. Your donation becomes a part of the Burse principal.
Thank you to all of the faithful Burse Club members who donate regularly to the Burse Club and who donate more than is asked.
